our shortlist was v similar to yours: Alice, Sophie or Harriet!

Of yours, am not keen on Lucy and think now that there are rather too many Sophies around so would go for Alice.

jane is also a family name for us - i think it's just fine as a middle name (as is Rose...)

piscesmoon · 20/07/2009 22:20

I like them all-I love boring!

jellybeans · 20/07/2009 21:33

Lucy Rose and then Sophie Jane. Both are lovely. Not keen on Alice.

sherby · 20/07/2009 16:18

I've got a Lucy May

MaggieBeBold · 20/07/2009 16:16

Lucy or Sophie, never been keen on Alice, although it's in the same style and it is OK. Not a bad name. I agree that Alice Rose doesn't work all that well. The s sound and the Z sound compete. Alice Jane is more balanced.

What about Sylvie or Susie instaed of Sophie????

Fimbo · 20/07/2009 16:16

I love them all and know sisters with all 3 names!

Alice Louise or Louisa is nice

Rose is quite over used here. I think it has become the new Ann.

myredcardigan · 20/07/2009 16:13

Actually, I prefer Jane to the other three.

Alice is nice and Sophie is ok but popular. Personally, I'm not at all keen on Lucy but it's a perfectly reasonable name. It's just not to my taste.

Rose is probably the most popular middle name of the last 10yrs by far. It's a nice name but I know about a dozen little girls with Rose as a middle name.

teddygirl23 · 20/07/2009 15:49

they are all lovely names i think there are fewer alice's if that makes a difference to you.

tassisssss · 19/07/2009 17:13

i love them all!

I have a Lucy and if we have another girl (v unlikely!) I think she'd be Sophie. Great names. Rose is a top middle name.

pigleychez · 19/07/2009 17:07

Lucy Rose.

My DD's middle name is Rose and Lucy is the prefered girls name for dc 2

4andnotout · 17/07/2009 20:47

Im a Sophie and i think it's a lovely name

My preference is
Sophie
Alice
Lucy

Andthentherewerethree · 17/07/2009 20:44

my cousin is alice rose (shes 8) and my dd1 is lucy, so i like both of those names. tbh i am not overly keen on sophie.
so i would say
lucy
alice
sophie

janeite · 17/07/2009 20:42

I like Alice the best - but not with Rose.

Bert2e · 17/07/2009 20:41

Alice - not met a small one for years and both my boys would have been called Alice if they had been girls.

BonsoirAnna · 17/07/2009 20:38

I think they are all very pretty but a little boring!

LaDiDaDi · 17/07/2009 20:38

I like them all but I think Alice Rose works least well as a combination, not sure why. Alice Jane is fine though.

slowreadingprogress · 17/07/2009 20:32

Lucy Rose.

Cies · 17/07/2009 19:44

I like them all, but Alice is my favourite.

Boodlerpoop · 17/07/2009 19:40

Lucy Rose is lovely...

sockmonster · 17/07/2009 18:33

If you're thinking of name meanings at all, then I prefer Lucy (light/bringer of light) though DD was Lucia so I am biased too!
Sophie means wisdom and is very pretty name, and am considerng Alice if DC2 isn't a boy. I don't like the middle name Jane as much as Rose though. Alice as a middle name, perhaps, with Lucy or Sophie first?

bumpybecky · 17/07/2009 14:59

I've got a Lucy Alice I've also got an Isabel Rose.

I like Sophie too

they're all good names!

plonker · 17/07/2009 14:51

Lucy Rose. Beautiful.

Then Sophie, then Alice.

loobylu3 · 17/07/2009 13:56

Alice, Lucy, then Sophie.

LouMacca · 17/07/2009 13:54

My DD is Sophie Alice

Love Lucy too but was already used by a close friend. Rose is pretty as a middle name.

StealthPolarBear · 17/07/2009 13:40

Love them all - in fact this bump will be called Alice if a girl!
