I thought I had the name thing sussed (which with 14 weeks to go is pretty good) but lately find myself really liking "Alison". I know it's kind of 70s -there were heaps of them at school and I am in my 30s - but somehow I imagine my Alison to be sparky and outgoing. How do others see it?

She'd be the only one in her class, that's for sure.

I'm an Alison. I'll leave you to make of that what you will ... !

My cousin Alison is a very dynamic person btw !

Oooh yes - Elvis Costello.
I think of Alison as quite edgy which I think is why I like it so much, whereas Alice I just don't like at all (it's too soft).

I just thought of Elvis Costello ! nice name - ,my 60 yr old cousin is called that...I like Allie and Alice

I like it. Possibly because of very positive associations: every Alison I know is brainy.

Ha ha - my 8 year old like this name - you might be 20 years ahead of your time for this one to be cool again! DD and all her mates will be using it in 20 years!

Prefer Alice tbh. Its ok though.
