Jackie for a boy?

The more I think about this, the more I like it.
I don't want to use Jack and have Jackie as a nickname. I wonder if I'm influenced by the dashing Jackie Merrick from Emmerdale Farm.
So, what do you think? Dh is in agreement, now to see what others think, so please be honest

Normal Geordie form of Jack - Jackie Milburn, 'Jackie' Charlton et al.

If you live elsewhere I'm not so sure.

Hmmm, well I was thinking that there won't be many female Jackies (due to Jacqueline being out of fashion now) in his age group, so that won't be so much of an issue?

He'll most likely get stick for it until he's 30+. Everyone associates it with a girls name, so I wouldn't if it was me...but I guess he'd learn to fight really fast (like that song called 'A boy named Sue')
