Hi
I would love you opinions on Juniper please
I have liked this for a long time. What do you think. nn Junie quite sweet, but will that film Juno make it very current/trendy etc?
Alos it is the name of the girl in Benny and Joon. I already have a Pearl so will i look like a crazy fan (sdhe was jUINIPER pEARL)
Thanks

How is Juniper media trendy? i dont know any and certainly dont tthink it is like Kylie or is there somebody famous that i dont know about?
Also surely only something really popular will become dated (like Isabel)
would not use Juno because i prefer Juniper and also that film (which came out long after i started liking juniper) - is that what you meant?

Gin FABULOUS! Should have gad it myself

Do it.

honeydew · 03/08/2009 22:31

Please don't go with names in the media trends pass. How many Kylie's are there ?!

honeydew · 03/08/2009 22:28

If it becomes dated, then that could cause problems. Also I ALWAYS think of 'The Life of Brian'-sorry! IMO, it's not a good name- too odd and unusual. Juno is cute but will a 50 year old appreciate that?

hana · 30/07/2009 19:25

I like it, v cute

Littlefish · 30/07/2009 19:04

Lovely, lovely name.

MamaLazarou · 30/07/2009 18:44

I adore the name Juniper. DH won't let me have it.

sajaruss · 30/07/2009 14:52

I named my daughter Juniper and have had loads of good reactions to the name. We wanted to give our child a natural name without sounding like complete hippies and think this struck a good balance (i hope!)
Besides that, I think it's a really pretty name, although of course I am completely biased in this opinion!!
We call her little berry girl and all sorts of other names.
And indeed, there is a gin connection....mother's ruin, don't they say?!

Tidey · 03/06/2009 22:25

Juno is ace.

Juniper sounds and looks mean to me, like a sneaky name. Also looks like a cross between Junior and Nipper, both rather unattractive names for children. I have these weird immediate reactions to names though, I don't expect anyone will agree.

audley · 03/06/2009 22:22

Juniper Joy is my current dream name, no from DH though

slowreadingprogress · 03/06/2009 20:30

exactly what goomum said!

Juniper Jean is the coolest name i've heard in a long time

goomum · 03/06/2009 19:52

Juniper Jean gets my vote.

Juno or Junie for short.

MadamAnt · 03/06/2009 19:35

Love Juniper! I also know a baby Juno, and think that's fab too (and I don't think it'll be the next "Amelie").

Juniper Jean is v good.

mulranno · 03/06/2009 19:32

Juniper Belle?

TsarChasm · 02/06/2009 23:03

Gin...(now that's a name I could come round to)

ninah · 02/06/2009 23:02

doesn't Juno-esque mean fat? or is that just Rubenesque?
I quite like Juno, even so

serin · 02/06/2009 23:00

I love it for a cat.

Sorry.

barnsleybelle · 02/06/2009 22:07

Think Juno is fab, not too keen on Juniper though

tummytickler · 02/06/2009 21:51

I think i am liking it more and more.
Pearl is my 4 year old dd btw, not the middle name!

Thinking i like

Juniper Jean
Juniper Anne
Juniper Bess
Juniper Bee (I know, I know)
Juniper . . . .

any other ideas?

Thanks for the opinions, looking forward to some more!

oysterpots · 02/06/2009 21:03

Whole blog dedicated to a little girl called Juniper. I like the name.

LightShinesInTheDarkness · 02/06/2009 11:42

Here is the miracle of the Juniper Bushes Life of Brian

But you are absolutely right that no-one will remember it!

nigglewiggle · 02/06/2009 09:12

It does make me think of Gin, but that probably says more about me than the name .

rubyslippers · 02/06/2009 09:11

i love it

may be a name which is twee on a grown up altho' Juno as a NN is good and strong

helpivegottogivebirth · 02/06/2009 09:09
