For a girl (obviously lol). Could shorten it to Kitty.

Which do you prefer?

Kitten Catherine
Kitten Elizabeth
Kitten Isobel
Kitten DeeDee
Kitten Seraphina
Kitten Cloud

why dont you just call her kitty, instead of naming her kitten, then shortening it. kitty is a beautiful name in itself

boodleboot · 21/05/2009 12:58

lola ....no i daresay Dolly hasn't been conceived yet....but there is a kitten out there in the ether waiting to be born into the name Dolly Rainbow for our little family of ever increasing kittens....

Dolly Rainbow will be sister to Mooky Moomintroll and Thorbob Thunderpaws....and of course you can be the Purrygodmother

Oh I thought you were being serious in which case I would highly recommend :
Kitten Catherine and then you could call her KITTY CAT ged it?

Longtalljosie · 21/05/2009 08:07

Oh nuts sorry - teach me not to skip a page

Longtalljosie · 21/05/2009 08:02

She'll never get any sort of serious job with a name like that. People will assume she's an airhead. Sorry, but there it is.

If you must go for flowers, cute things etc - how about Daisy?

noddyholder · 21/05/2009 08:00

I think calling it 'weird' is weird

ramonaquimby · 21/05/2009 07:54

hmmm
well I suppose I see it as an animal not a little girl!

I have 3 girls (also) with v traditional names so don't think I fall in the camp of having 'provincial views'

noddyholder · 21/05/2009 07:45

Lol at kitty being 'weird' typical provincial MN view it is actually v traditional

LolaTheShowgirl · 20/05/2009 23:21

BOODLEBOOT, I am so proud Can I be your kittens purr(y) godmother?

When are you going to be getting Dolly Rainbow? Has mother Catten even given birth to Dolly yet?

Lotster · 20/05/2009 20:10

yeah, Kitten Cloud, go for it.

Frasersmum123 · 20/05/2009 19:42

It conjours up images of that awful woman that was on Big Brother a few years ago.

piscesmoon · 20/05/2009 19:21

Cruel to the DC, IMO-I hope they turn out to be strong enough to cope with it.

lockets, it's an opinion.
I know you have a dd with that name, surely you can't take offence to someone not liking it on an online forum?

it's not my cup of tea, that's all.

Twims · 19/05/2009 17:12

Kitten Elizabeth - but abit of an odd choice

georgiemum · 19/05/2009 10:49

We were once in a restaurant with a very loud couple yakking at the next table. They had 3 children... Peregrine, Tiger and I forget the other name.

noddyholder · 18/05/2009 18:55

There were a few tigers in ds school

boodleboot · 18/05/2009 18:43

Dolly Rainbow is absolutely perfect........ for the little KITTEN that we are getting in the summer holidays.....thanks lola

georgiemum · 18/05/2009 15:09

ikkle-baby-howler-monkey?

PuppyMonkey · 18/05/2009 15:03

Puppy is much better anyway, imho.

kalo12 · 18/05/2009 14:58

what about kitten mittens,

snow white, or little boots?

HellHathNoFury · 18/05/2009 14:55

hobgoblin, I ALSO LOVE odd names, having had more than a few raised eyebrows myself when announcing DS's names, but lolatheshowgirl has started a whole load of name threads with names like 'Kitten' and 'bear' and I can't help but think she is bored, as opposed to serious
