Ethan James or Ewan Douglas. or maybe even Douglas James. Surname starts with an O. Has a sister Abigail Elizabeth. There is reddish hair in the family.

Help me decide. Clock is ticking. Ta.

And having re-read your post, Douglas is really quite sweet. If you're concerned about the current popularity of Ethan, i'd go for Douglas James or James Douglas.

MrsKitty · 06/05/2009 08:19

Definitely prefer Ethan over Ewan, and James is an excellent choice

HarleyQuinn · 06/05/2009 08:11

Ethan James

Isnt Ethan Hunt Tom Cruise's character in Mission Impossible? That's putting me off now.

Ewan much more my favourite - have friends who called their son Ethan Hunt and it really put me off

Am Scottish so Ewan is a pretty common sound to me - and I really like it. No more kids for me, but might have been an option!

screamingabdab · 05/05/2009 20:28

I see DP not keen

screamingabdab · 05/05/2009 20:27

So what about Evan nct73 ?

Sorry, may not be helpful to introduce a third name into the mix

Yes I am Scottish but not living in Scotland and dont sound very Scots. DP is half Scots too. Douglas is his uncle & James was mine. Evan was on the list but DP not keen.

There are rather a lot of Ethans around at the mo. Someone at toddler group just popped one out (am sure I told her it was top of my list) but not close friends so niggling but not a no-go. Call me daft but my worry with Ewan is if he is a sicky baby/child that he will become spewy-ewey.

Douglas James is nice and unusual compared to the others

catinthehat2 · 05/05/2009 19:22

< FelineFine got your message on the other thread! I'm fine with this one old chap! >

SpaceTrain · 05/05/2009 19:20

Ethan is way too popular - Ewan is much nicer

haveilosttheplot · 05/05/2009 19:12

Euan is nice.

PrettyCandles · 05/05/2009 19:11

I like Ethan.

I don't care for Ewan - it sounds like an aggressive question "Y'wana try it?!"

Douglas is nice, too, especially the nickname Douggie (I knew a really nice Douggie once...mmmmm ).

screamingabdab · 05/05/2009 19:07

wotulookingat just noticed - great minds think alike!

And Evan goes with James or Douglas

screamingabdab · 05/05/2009 18:59

Ewan Douglas

or what about Evan?

popsypie · 05/05/2009 18:52

Ewan James - sorry was that even an option?

Fimbo · 05/05/2009 18:51

Ewan Douglas but then I am Scottish.

Also love Duncan for a middle name (it is my ds's!).

TrinityIsLovingHerLittleRhino · 05/05/2009 18:49

I love Ethan James
not so keen on ewan

wotulookinat · 05/05/2009 18:29

Ethan James is great. How about Evan?

magbags · 05/05/2009 18:21

I definetely prefer Ewan, have a nephew called Ewan and he is a really lovely boy (Scottish by the way!). Not so keen on Ethan.

FelineFine · 05/05/2009 18:06
