Alice or Alicia?

OK so I loved the name Alicia first time around but I seriously dislike the pronunciation 'aleeesha' and foresaw a lifetime of correcting everyone-- also it seemed to potentially be a little, erm, ghetto chav?

So, this time I am favouring Alice, possibly, but dp disagrees and says Alicia is much prettier. I speak Spanish and will be spending quite a bit of time in spanish speaking countries (post swine flu!) but I still think Alice is more classic.

Hmm I'm not sure... help!?

Alice is so much more classic. It is beautiful.
Alicia is soooo faddy, i think and will sound really dated in 20 years time whereas Alice will not.
I love Alice but can not use it as it sounds too similar to dd's name - you can use it for mr

Alice. Less faddy and classier.
