EldonAve you are not seriously thinking of Bunny as a given name are you? Please try it out for a couple of days on yourself first - I'm not at all sure it will get a positive reception. It is a pet name usually used within a family (husband/wife as well as parent to child) I really think it would be very unfair to call a child Bunny.

Leannabanana · 26/04/2009 16:09

i think she hated Bunny although i could see why she would hate Babette more tbh....x

EldonAve · 26/04/2009 15:05

did she hate Babette or Bunny?

mollymawk · 26/04/2009 14:32

We had an Auntie Bunny, and her name was Barbara.

Tidey · 26/04/2009 14:26

It's short for Edmund in the book 'The Secret History'. No idea what it's short for as a girl's name though.

littleboyblue · 26/04/2009 14:25

Oh yeah, dizzy I said earlier that I thought Bunny was short for Elisabeth, but you're fight, now I think it's Buffy.......maybe it's both...........

dizzydixies · 26/04/2009 11:59

pandavark · 26/04/2009 10:49

suwoo · 26/04/2009 08:59

I thought it was short for Margaret? Or maybe thats just our weirdo family.

Flightattendant25 · 26/04/2009 08:50

I have a lovely friend whose real name is Belinda.

Hassled · 26/04/2009 08:49

I know a 70 year old Bunny - short for Bernard.

EldonAve · 26/04/2009 08:45

so if noone is sure what it's short for can you just go ahead and use it as a first name?

Isn't it short for anything if you're a female estate agent?

KatyMac · 26/04/2009 07:29

Bunneka - not sure where it's from tho'

littleboyblue · 26/04/2009 02:47

I always thought Bunny was short for Elizabeth, you know one of those weird ones like Ted being short for Edward instead of a simple Nick short for Nicholas.

SuziSeis · 26/04/2009 01:34
