I fancy that Toby man from Gardener's world and was thinking it might be a cute name for a baby boy of mine. (should it be a boy, hopefully find out next week).

I quite like it,but it will always remind me of our lovely brown poodle we had when i was little!

Nice name.

I know two Tobys, one adult, one child and I like them both... so it's a good name as far as I'm concerned

hadn't considered Tobias - bit poncy I think. I think a Toby would have ruffly slightly ginger hair and would always have little grazed grubby knees. . It probably won't be a boy anyway as have 2 dd's so far.

do not like toby at all

My ds1 would have been a Toby if close friends of ours had not named their son (who was born 2 months before ours) Toby! I like it.

I like it too. But I call my DS a little toby when he's being cheaky. Will he be Tobias? What else is Toby short for?

dinkymum · 24/04/2009 21:54

lovely my DD was nearly a Toby.
