We live in France and DH is dead keen on Maelys for our daughter (Mah-eh-lys), a Breton name. I'm not so sure it works in English. What do think??? Thanks!

I don't think it's fair to give a child a name they will spend their whole life telling people how it's pronounced or spelt. I'm with Hulababy, still can't work out how to pronounce it.

On seeing the name I wouldn't really know how to pronounce it. TBH even with the pronunciation I am not 100% sure how to say it.
