Not as in Passover (the root of the Russian boy's name) - I'm thinking of a Hindi derivation. Thoughts?

Nightclub in Ibiza springs to my mind too.
Sorry.

stleger · 10/04/2009 13:48

A lady in our local very posh family is called Pasha. She told me about her doves once.

suwoo · 10/04/2009 13:45

It made me wrinkle my nose up when I read the thread title, so no I don't think that I like it. Well that's what my subconscious told me.

TsarChasm · 10/04/2009 13:45

Nightclub.

And I'm over 40 and knew that too!

ScottishThistle · 10/04/2009 13:42

Ibiza and cherries spring to mind! No, don't like it as a name.

pranma · 07/04/2009 17:46

They were really nasty strong cigarettes in the 40s and 50s

i had some very mental nights out at pasha in london and WOULD NOT like to name my beautiful baby girl after it....how about Mischa? sams sort of sound but prettier imo. Or Sasha?

PuppyMonkey · 07/04/2009 12:38

Oh, Oh!!! I was on a day out with the family yesterday and heard a posh mum calling her flowery little girl over: "Pasha, Pasha!" I thought I must post on MN, but you beat me to it.

Sounded Poncy when she said it, tbh.

pginthecloset · 07/04/2009 12:37

makes me think of nightclub too

MumOfBaby · 07/04/2009 12:34

Pasha is a really girly clothes designer- little peach tops and stuff. Not really a name.

LaDiDaDi · 07/04/2009 11:00

All it makes me think of is a goth clothing shop and a nightclub but if I didn't have those associations I would like it iyswim. I think if I got used to it as a name then I'd like it.

rolandbrowning · 07/04/2009 10:59

Isn't it the name of a club in Ibiza?
