Their are 2 brothers at DS' old nursery Phoenix and Nico both are lovely boys.

I think it's cute and I also think it's up to you!

pranma · 03/06/2009 15:20

When there are so many lovely names why saddle a child with a name that so many adults cant spell. There are 2 threads on here about this name one for a dd and one for a ds.Both have spelt it differently in the headings and both spellings are wrong.

Bonneville · 03/06/2009 13:50

Its really horrid. Hate stupid names like this. Sorry.

slushy06 · 03/06/2009 13:38

let them eat cake I and my family love the name for a girl also have you had any probs with it

sockmonster · 23/05/2009 19:17

I secretly like it! Doesn't scary spice have a kid named phoenix?
Hmm OK I love it, but I wouldn't burden an innocent child with it.

magbags · 23/05/2009 19:11

I don't like it, sorry. Think it's a bit try hard, like something a z-list celebrity might pick.

Tortington · 23/05/2009 18:44

Paolosgirl · 23/05/2009 18:43

boodleboot · 19/05/2009 10:44

LetThemEatCake · 18/05/2009 20:44

It's my dd's name

suits her beautifully.

lynniep · 18/05/2009 15:58

I have met a Phoenix. Well I've spoken to his mother in the park for 5 minutes. He doesnt look like a Phoenix, although I'm not sure what one should look like (in the kids name sense - I wasnt expecting for him to be a mythical creature!) I think its a bit silly, but not horrendous. I prefer it to Kaylee and stuff like that.

Peachy · 18/05/2009 15:54

Nope, you never know where your child would end up in life and whilst phoenix would be just about OK for a Reader in phiilosophy or Spiritual healer, on a building site it would be shit

DobbyDooDah · 18/05/2009 15:52

this is one of my favourite names for a boy! i love it even if it is a little odd

piscesmoon · 30/04/2009 23:17

NO

Flibbertyjibbet · 30/04/2009 23:03

if you want to be 'unique' you could spell it Feenicks?

Pineapples · 30/04/2009 22:49

Love it.

drowninginclutter · 15/04/2009 15:50

We considered it for DS but ended up thinking our local school is a bit rough and it'd be a bit hard to carry off.

He'd probably have to spell it out for every form he filled in as mis-spellings are common. Before we considered it I always thought it was Pheonix

mickeylou · 15/04/2009 15:45

sorry just not my cup of tea. i think he would get teased.

nappyaddict · 13/04/2009 12:24

Yes dd1 has a Prince in her class and there was one in her nursery and another in her playgroup. Though one of them could be the same boy.

There are at least two, possibly 3 in dd1's age range in my town.
