I have annoyed everyone over the last few days by filling MN with baby name threads but this is the final one!

Our list is:

Isaac (slight problem as my nephew is called Zak)
Cassius
Cassian
Raphael

We will wait till baby is born to decide but out of interest which one would you pick?

And you can say 'none of them' I wont be offended

Isaac's the only one I like.

piscesmoon · 04/04/2009 15:45

I wouldn't have any. However Isaac is the best of the bunch -but you might have problems as people are spelling it 2 different ways on this thread!

andlipsticktoo · 04/04/2009 15:45

Cassius

Quattrocento · 04/04/2009 15:39

I was interested in your choice of Cassian and googled it to find out more. You'll know that it is a longstanding but rare name of latin origin - pronounced Cashun. Think he would have to spend the rest of his life spelling it out for people

See-ay-ess-ess-i-ay-enn - no it's too difficult

Raphael is a bit too flowery.

Cassius is nice as is Isaac

kidcreoleandthehotcrossbuns · 04/04/2009 15:32

Issac followed closely by Cassius

Linnet · 04/04/2009 15:30

Isaac

I didn't even think Zac was a nickname for Isaac, I thought it was eye-zuk. Totally different name unless you intend on Zac as nn. Prefer Isaac of those on your list.

QuackQuackQuackQuack · 04/04/2009 15:25

I am worried about Issac/zack TBH

My dd2's name is fairly similar to my dneices name (in the same way as Isaac and Zac) - it doesn't cause any more confusion that the usual calling of 7 names to get to the right one

MIAeatingeggs · 04/04/2009 13:49

If you spend time together as a family fairly frequently and the one set of grandparents will have both the Zac and Isaac as Grandchildren then I would not use this name. IME it is a pain for all concerned when their names are similar and Grandparents will constantly mix them up iyswim.

Plonker · 04/04/2009 13:43

Isaac.

Lizzylou · 04/04/2009 13:42

Cassius, love that name

Not overly keen on Raphael, like Cassian and Isaac

Nancy66 · 04/04/2009 13:40

I think Isaac is a bit dull compared to the others - so I would lose that one. others are fab.

QuackQuackQuackQuack · 04/04/2009 13:36

I love all of them but ATM I think I favour Raphael although what OneLieIn said about being mediterranean or latin worries me.

Isaac is nice, but getting popular, I know 4.
Raphael is good, I know one and its a cool name.
Not sure about Cassian?
Cassius is a good, strong boys name.

MadBadandDangerousToKnow · 04/04/2009 13:15

Isaac or Raphael.

FairLadyOfMuslinCloth · 04/04/2009 13:14

Isaac and Raphael

OneLieIn · 04/04/2009 13:13

Issac, the Cas ones are awful, Rafael is fine if you are mediterranean or latin

belgo · 04/04/2009 13:13

I love the name Raphael, but can't pronounce 'r' very well, that puts me off.

I like Cassius (not keen on Cassian)

belgo · 04/04/2009 13:12

I would choose Isaac (it doesn't matter that your nephew is Zac, it's a different name).

Astrophe · 04/04/2009 13:12

Isaac or Raphael, not keen on the others
