Bryn or Elijah?

We've decided on a girls name, but if its a boy, we're torn between these two! Any opinions? x

Either

the only thing I'd add is the sibling dimension (see the sibling names thread!)
if you plan to have more children, what would you consider calling them, and how worried are you about having siblings with names that 'go' ?
I love the name Noah, but would feel if I had another boy I would have to give him a biblical-ish name, probably pitched at a similar level of trendiness / unusualness
(but then I probably over-analyse things...)

Elijah is a bit naff.......

Bryn is a fab name, understatedly fab as well, which just makes it even better.

If you are Welsh or have Welsh roots then Bryn.

Not too keen on Elijah.

I must preview - to clarifiy, he spent his life being called Bryan because people couldn't read Bryn properly, he changed it to his middle name (not Bryan!) at 18.

Not Bryn, I cannot bare it.

Its my DH's name, he spent his life being called Bryan until he changed it at 18. Was teased about it at school too.

Its used as a girls name in the US and US trends do tend to follow over here eventually.

Bryn is a lovely name and really suits my full of beans, not in the least bit old mannish, 4 yr old.

Elijah is fine too, but do you like Eli as well? It will inevitably be shortened.

Bryn is very manly. I like it! Elijah - lovely for a baby, but only good for a man with elfen looks.

There was an old shepherdy type fella on the news last night called Bryn. (He had witnessed the BMW driver going down a bit of a cliff cos sat nav told him to)
He was very old and country and had a magnificent beard!

Hi, I have a Brynley. Bryn was chosen by his nanna, but a bit too abrupt fo my liking so added the ley. I like Efram if you want an E beginning name.

none bryn reminds me of the odd uncle bryn from gavin and stacey ha very odd he is ha hes the only person called bryn i know of though and same with eligha remingds me of eligha wood and hes a proper plonker ha xx
