We've decided on a girls name, but if its a boy, we're torn between these two! Any opinions? x

Bryn is a great traditional welsh name.
For all those who think that it's an american girls name so, it follows it will come over here. Pah!
I refer you to my first sentence.
Bryn will be a beautiful addition to your family.

twentysixseven · 28/03/2009 21:54

I like Elijah but I only like Bryn for a girl.

notsoteenagemum · 27/03/2009 21:00

Bryn wins hands down, I'd rather be reminded of Rob Bryden than a Hobbit anyday!

It's a lovely name.

jellybeans · 27/03/2009 20:46

Elijah. Bryn reminds me of Uncle Bryn from Gavin and Stacey.

flowerybeanbag · 27/03/2009 15:25

I know a female Bryn. She is Canadian.

claireybee · 27/03/2009 15:24

Elijah.

My aunt had a dog called Bryn

lotspot · 27/03/2009 15:22

i like both but Bryn is fabulously cool =]

possible though that i think this because the first bryn i met was a VERY hot australian with an accent that made my knees go weak haha

nothing wrong with Elijah but not quite Bryn standards

TheJester · 27/03/2009 14:44

I think Elijah is awful! sounds like one of those octuplets to me. They were all given Metheuselah-style names.

Nancy66 · 27/03/2009 13:13

Oh god Bryn is awful - elijah is much better.

BlueChampagne · 27/03/2009 13:10

Am intrigued by the idea that Bryn is a girls name lastboxoftampons!

moondog · 26/03/2009 22:12

Bryn.
Can't be doing with OT names at all.

TheJester · 26/03/2009 22:11

bryn. Elijah is a mouthful and has no obvious short form. 'el' is too feminine although you could use Eli. eel-eye.

Bryn is different without being mad. I like it.

edam · 26/03/2009 18:37

Bryn was on my list for ds - both dh and I are half-Welsh and it's one of my favourite Welsh names.

(Had never occurred to me anyone would get it confused with Bryan - which is a spelling mistake anyway - doesn't sound anything like it. Could work as an idiot-detector...)

dinkymum · 26/03/2009 17:59

elijah

Clure · 26/03/2009 17:54

I do like it though!

Clure · 26/03/2009 17:54

My friend had an Alsation called Bryn

piscesmoon · 26/03/2009 17:47

Neither-both terrible names.

Jojay · 26/03/2009 17:43

Bryn.

Elijah too girly
