Surname would be Wilkin.

Thoughts please MNers!

Oscar was the first choice but have heard it's becoming quite a popular choice...

Yeah Arlo and Otto, Nico ect are nice too - dont like Oscar much as had a German boyf with that name who was a cheating shitbag (i was only young and didn't know better!) (grin)

Tinker · 25/03/2009 19:51

I had teh video of Tweenies Live. I have never seen so many faces of parents in the audience in so much pain

yama · 25/03/2009 19:51

What about Arlo? I once worked with an Irish guy called Arlo. Have liked the name since.

Also like Scorpio's suggestion of Otto.

rosieposey · 25/03/2009 19:50

Oh shite have they? my other DC's are teens so i didnt know that but have to admit i always liked Milo because of the character in Catch 22 - i hope the tweenies arent around for much longer - what happened to bloody Rosie and Jim?

sweetkitty · 25/03/2009 19:48

It's 2 of my cats and Milo is a friends dog but I like calling pets hunan names once had a fish called Fred too and a budgie called Mike

Tinker · 25/03/2009 19:47

But they've already been around for 10 years, 10 years of tainting for me - all other Tweenies names equally afflicted

KERALA1 · 25/03/2009 19:46

Dont like Oscar as an old lady in our village had a small smelly dog called Oscar and can't get away from the association.

Really like the other 2 names esp Milo. Cool and funky and masculine.

Tinker · 25/03/2009 19:46

Of these short Euro o-ending names I quite like Nico

rosieposey · 25/03/2009 19:44

Oh and as for the Tweenies thing - i dont think they will be around in 10 years anyway and arent the other ones called Max and Bella - both popular names?

Tinker · 25/03/2009 19:44

Otis is tainted by Otis Ferry who is a dickhead.
Milo - no because of Tweenies and Oscar too now for me

rosieposey · 25/03/2009 19:42

My dogs called Otis and I named my 6 week old DS Milo - i love it, its a name that sounds good if you are young, middle aged or old and it really suits him - anyone read 'Catch 22'? Its a cool name

As you can tell im keen on two of them at least

pointydog · 25/03/2009 19:39

Osacr is ok

WinkyWinkola · 25/03/2009 19:33

Otis is a brilliant name. V. cool and timeless.

mountaingirl · 25/03/2009 19:30

I have an Oscar and he is gorgeous ds2 .. thought about Milo for ds1 but decided it wouldn't work in French and Otis is nice & unusual makes me think of Otis Reading....
Didn't realise Oscar was popular in the UK.

nappyaddict · 25/03/2009 19:30

Peachy how do i do what?

tummytickler · 25/03/2009 19:22

Oscar is very popular, so that would put me off personally. You cant swing a cat here for Oscars!
Dont like Milo at all, but dont have a good reason for it, just not my taste.
I love Otis and this was on a list for dc4, but as pp said - it was the make of the lift we went up in on our way to the hospital so that was taht!

Bruno is the son of Nigella

BonsoirAnna · 25/03/2009 19:01

Bruno

Podrick · 25/03/2009 18:59

all boys names ending in the letter O are dreadfully pretentious in my view

Peachy · 25/03/2009 18:58

haylet Doodles is the dog, Milo is the purple trainee gangster kid

Peachy · 25/03/2009 18:57

NA how on earth do you do that? I can pick ut all the MN abbies LOL (including the weirder parts of my boy's names)

hayley2u · 25/03/2009 18:35

dragonbutter · 25/03/2009 18:25

i like otis, but am put off by it being the name of the company that make lifts in department stores.

oscar is too popular for me.

milo is a bit pretentious.

my alternatives would be orson or miles.

nappyaddict · 25/03/2009 18:23
