I don't like it either.

janeite · 22/03/2009 22:16

Nope - don't like it at all.

aGalChangedHerName · 22/03/2009 22:14

Yuck!!

diedandgonetodevon · 22/03/2009 22:12

Dog or Sadie Frost (oh sorry, they're the same thing aren't they )

Sorrento · 22/03/2009 22:05

It's my next DD's name so if you could all not use it please I would be grateful.

PuppyMonkey · 22/03/2009 20:07

Too sad.

cyteen · 22/03/2009 20:04

I really like it. Do hate Sadie Frost but on the other hand 'Sadie' is my favourite Joanna Newsom song, so.

MarchNowFebMum · 22/03/2009 19:46

dog or chav sorry

vivala · 21/03/2009 06:43

Sorry can't get past "saadieee the cleaning laaydeee..."

onelittletreasure · 21/03/2009 06:09

Its quite popular - we've got 2 Sadies in our baby group already!

jellybeans · 20/03/2009 21:42

It's OK< I know a few too, quite common.

lunamoon2 · 20/03/2009 21:00

Sorry don't like it, but I can see it making a come back in the not too distant future

pippibluestocking · 19/03/2009 09:03

My sister in law's cat is called Sadie, although DD used to call her "Seedy" and it sort of stuck!

EyeballsintheSky · 19/03/2009 09:01

Yes nn, not shortened IYSWIM . Get called Sally-Ann as well which is longer!

Leannabanana · 19/03/2009 06:58

oh goodness no....sadie frost????.....enough to put anyone off the name....

nappyaddict · 18/03/2009 21:56

Sadie is a nickname for both Sarah and Sally.

RachieB · 18/03/2009 21:46

My friends little girl is Sadie

its kinda cute but not overly girly / frilly!

redpyjamas · 18/03/2009 21:29

sorry, I meant to start a new thread....
Ignore:I'll copy and paste.

hester · 18/03/2009 21:29

I have always liked Sadie. It's a Jewish auntie name.

redpyjamas · 18/03/2009 21:28

Please can anyone suggest a couple of unisex names that go well together, (for twins where I don't yet know the gender).
Or names that transfer easily to the other gender if 6 months after birth I find out that I got their gender wrong: e.g. ferdinand/fernanda.
Thanks for your inspiration.

katiepotatie · 18/03/2009 21:28

I love it! and want to use it if this baby due in 5 weeks is a girl. DH hates it though

How can Sarah shorten to Sadie?

2 syllables each - check

5 letters each - check

kittykat21 · 18/03/2009 21:09

It's a nice name, but it's not very unusual, i know two people called sadie.

WinkyWinkola · 18/03/2009 21:08

Great name.

I'd love to use it but a good friend and DH's cousin already has.
