Aurora

will this ever lose the disney connotation? I love it but don't want her to think we named her after a disney princess......

I considered this for dd. was very glad we decided against, as she was/is an astonishingly loud shouter, and I know I'd have been thinking 'a roarer'. Tis pretty though.

My DD's middle name is Aurea which is similar but lovely too (I think so anyway ). I also like Aurelia.

LuLuBai · 17/03/2009 10:35

I have always secretly liked it, although the Princess thing worries me too. I went to school with a French girl called Aurore which was a little less Disney (esp when combined with her rather gorgeous French surname). I love the Northern Lights association though.

I've known a couple of Aurelias too which I think is very pretty.

Not keen, soorry. Makes me think of that bit around the nipple, the name of which escapes me right now.

Wasn't princess Aurora another name for Briar Rose?

Not keen.

Hasn't disenchanted called her baby this? I like it.

wastingmyeducation · 17/03/2009 09:11

Didn't know it was a princess. Would automatically think of the northern lights.
