Flower names - views on whether to continue the trend?

We are expecting number 4 and suspect it may be a girl. I have two DDs, both of whom are named after flowers. While it would be nice to continue the theme, a part of me worries about it being a bit naff. Although I suppose it only comes to light when calling them all, eg when in the playground. But also, I am starting to run out of nice options (not nice options being things like Hyacinth or Petunia, in my book - no offence intended to anyone who has DDs named Hyacinth or Petunia ). Would be grateful for any thoughts on whether you think it completely awful to continue with the theme, and (if not) what flower names there are which are nice for girls.

Also Violet could be Viola (the latin name)

Only problem, no Snowdrop (only joking, I am the only person in the universe who would seroiusly call a child Snowdrop)

My grandmother was one of seven (I think) sisters and one brother. All the sisters were given flower / plant names (although presumably they were born in the 1910s/20s.
As far as I recall they were
Rose
Olive
Myrtle
Violet
Iris
Ivy
Lily
Hope i have got this right, was not the most attentive at family gatherings as a child.
I'm not a huge fan of flower names myself (was something of a tomboy as a child and would have hated to have one) but i don't think the concept is naff at all, it's rather sweet.
i'm not keen on lily, daisy or poppy but i do like violet and iris.

I've not read the whole thread but has anyone suggested Calla-Lilly? I've always thought that was lovely and pretty- hence my username!

What lovely names you have already.

On a flower theme i like:
Daisy
Violet
Holly
Blossom
Briar
Myrtle

Or if you wanted to go old fashioned then:
Mabel
Harriet
Martha

My DD is Erica - not obviously floral but is actually the latin name for heather.

I like the name Poppy and I love Rose, was going to have it as a middle name for mine. I also like Lily and for some reason Blossom lol

dd1 has a friend called Hebe. Wasn't sure if I liked it at first but absolutely love it (and her) now. Very unusual and very beautiful, just as she is

Thank you all for your ideas. These threads get so long that names come back on a loop though and names that have been discounted get suggested again! I think we have a good idea now so all input has been much appreciated. Many thanks!

i love PEARL....brilliant name....was looking for a middle name for the girls name we have chosen and starting to go off it as i couldn't find one that was perfect but i think you may have just saved the name squanderedzeitgeist....thanks....x

I didn't go for matching flower names for my girls. There are so many lovely names out there, it's nice to go for something very different.

dd is called Violet - I love it. I too have your dilemma as I am expecting again and, if a girl, am wondering what would go with Violet. My personal favourite is Pearl, I think that's gorgeous, continuing the natural and old-fashioned theme but without being a flower. Don't know if I can win dh round on this though, or Iris, which I think is very pretty too.
