Is the name Noah very common where you live?

It is no 50 on the 100 most popular names but whenever i mention the name people seem to always say 'Noah is becoming very common nowadays.'

StealthPolarBear · 04/03/2009 21:03

one on MN
None in RL
Love the name

LyraSilvertongue · 04/03/2009 21:02

None (we're in SW London).

SouthernMeerkat · 04/03/2009 20:59

I know two. But if you like it go for it!

When we chose for DS1 (Theodore) it wasn't even in the top 100 but it's now within the top 50 I think, and I know several!! But people still comment on it being a lovely name.

As everyone else has said, I know hundreds of Alfies, Oscars, Jacks and Oliver/Ollies. We're in MCM of Tunbridge Wells if that makes any difference!

strictmumof3 · 04/03/2009 15:39

I know 3,
1 is 2 years old and the other 2 are about 7 months.

DottyDot · 04/03/2009 15:15

It's ds1's middle name (he's 7) and I kind of wish we'd had the courage to make it his first name as he would really suit it. I love it - we don't know anyone else in his school called Noah.

Issy123 · 04/03/2009 15:13

I don't know any.

That said, DS3 has a name which is about 50th on the national lists, and I know 2 other children locally with same name. DS2 has a name that's about 250th on national lists -- and I still know 2 other local boys with same name! I reckon some names are like magnets, once you have one you start meeting loads others.

lljkk · 04/03/2009 10:36

I don't know any (Norfolk).
