A divided household - what do you think of Ernest?

Or Ernie for short?

Husband likes it, I'm okay with it, the grandparents think it is forcing a lifetime of teasing on him. What do you think?

Other boys names we have thought of are Robert (Bert or Bertie for short). Er... that's it really - a bit unispired for the boys.

Girls are easy - Tabitha, Nancy or Marina.

We have a few months left so just testing the waters really.

My late father's name and I didn't even choose it for a middle name. Makes me think of Benny Hill!

When pg I always said if I was carrying twins I would call yhem Albert (my GGD's name) and Ernest (GD's name) and it would fit my Henson obsession (Bert and Ernie were the taxi driver and policeman in It's a Wonderful Life, it's where he got the names)

Ernest is a fine name, Ernie etc. Go for it

wombleprincess · 15/03/2009 19:53
