Barnaby - too posh? too babyish?

I like Oliver, dh likes Cameron, we both like Barnaby. Except is it too posh (we live in grotty part of a city and we'll send him to local comp and is it silly on an adult? I tried doing the Prime Minister and plumber test and I think a PM called Barnaby is fine but it sounds silly for a plumber.

Know an adult Barnaby, shortened to Barnes, but he is quite posh. Think it probably does fail the plumber test

Except for Barney Rubble that is

Rather reminds me too much of Barnaby the Bear.

I suppose it could always get shortened down to Barney which is ok for an adult.
