Stuck for a name for DS2

Hi, we've just found out we are having another son and are struggling to think of a name we can agree on. DS1 is Ben and our second name begins with M and is quite long... Anyway, we'd like something Scottish. Both love William (but decided you cant really have Ben and Bill - Jerry is definately out!!).

What do people think of Angus (Gus)? I like Murray but my DH says it doesnt go with our last name.

Other ones I like are:
Gil (Gilbert)
Bailey
Aidan

Any comments or other ideas?
Thanks!

Fraser,James,Hamish and Alexander or the gaelic version Alasdair are other Scottish names I like.

Know a baby girl Bailey and don't like this at all personally.Aidan good if red haired.

Clary · 25/01/2009 21:30

I like Angus and Fraser.

Bailey seems to be a girls' name now (surname imho)

Can't believe not one has said the obvious so let me be the first

Alexander

love Hamish too
could use James

weetimorousdizzybeastie · 25/01/2009 21:05

Archie yes but please not Jock or Jimmy

you might as well feed him buckfast from a brown paper bag from birth, dye his hair ginger, paint his skin blue and wean him on deep fried mars bars

doesmybumlookbiginthis · 25/01/2009 21:01

Jock Jimmy Archie ........ very Scottish

pointydug · 25/01/2009 21:01

I like Angus.

I really like Aidan (irish, no?)

weetimorousdizzybeastie · 25/01/2009 20:57

Pippy, Hector is my FAVOURITE name

pippylongstockings · 25/01/2009 20:56

I like both Hector & Angus - biased towards Hector as that is my DS1 name.
Love it love it love it......

Wasn't brave enough to call my DS2 Angus as we have only a paternal grandparent scottish link so it seemed a bit odd to call them both scottish names.....

inthemaking · 25/01/2009 20:48

I like Bailey! Or Aidan

weetimorousdizzybeastie · 25/01/2009 20:43
