But it would always be Halle (Pr. hal-lay ... like Halle Berry) for short.

Actually, Fi-Fi would be a sweet abbreviation for "Flee-Fornication"

Nancy66 · 16/01/2009 08:41

What about 'praisethelord' - Prazzie for short?

seeker · 16/01/2009 08:41

Dd and I were looking things up for her history homework and we found some amazing Puritan names. I offer for your consiteration "Wrestling-with-the-Devil", "Praise-God" and "Flee-Fornication"

Haha - my friend says she will call her first born daughter Hallelujah - Lelu (pronounced lay-loo) for short. I thought she was the only person crazy enough to consider it

kayzr · 16/01/2009 06:45

No sorry.

seeker · 16/01/2009 06:00

No you don't, savoycabbage. You only think you do!

littleoldme · 16/01/2009 04:42

No - wrong and bad.

savoycabbage · 16/01/2009 03:24

I like it.

twentypence · 16/01/2009 03:13

There are a chorus of reasons why not.

Largely that if she graduated university they will use her full name and it will sound like a miracle she passed her exams.

Why not just call her Halle

nappyaddict · 16/01/2009 01:23

Strangely I was thinking only if you mostly use Halle before I opened up the thread.

gigglewitch · 16/01/2009 01:16

PenelopePitstops · 16/01/2009 01:15
