But it would always be Halle (Pr. hal-lay ... like Halle Berry) for short.

Blimey, pregnancy does strange things to one's judgement

Kimi · 17/01/2009 09:37

Stupid, sorry

DaisyMooSteiner · 17/01/2009 09:34

Do it. It will provide hours of enjoyment for all your friends and acquaintances

nannyogg · 17/01/2009 09:23

I thought you were just exclaiming Hallelujah in your thread title as you'd finally found a good name!

Actually Halle is alright, but Hallelujah? why not just call her Halle?

Only if her middle name is Praisethelord.

Seriously though, if my mum had named me after whatever was at number one I'd be called Tiger Feet.

walkingprimrose · 16/01/2009 18:16

Halleludicrous

thumbwitch · 16/01/2009 18:12

I was hoping thinking you were saying Hallelujah you have found a name for your baby, not suggesting it as a name.

Wouldn't do it tbh.

HecateQueenOfGhosts · 16/01/2009 18:12

hahaha, no. Just...no!

Remember Talluladoesthehulainhawaii?

ilovelovemydog · 16/01/2009 18:09

It's wrong on so many levels.

  1. People will think she was named after the X Factor song (Leonard Cohen)

  2. People will think you are muttering, Hallelujah all the time and believe you are a slightly deranged religious person, when calling out for your DD.

Halle is better.

silverfairy · 16/01/2009 18:04

Halle is better.
I've heard of a Hosanna!

LadyLiffey · 16/01/2009 15:33

it reminds me of what you hear at the bus stop when the bus finally turns up. Somebody always mutters Hallelujah.

eidsvold · 16/01/2009 10:56

so why call her hallelujah if you never intend to call the child that. Just call her Halle and be done with it

Heated · 16/01/2009 10:47

My father employs someone with dds called Hallelujah and Hosannah, called Halle and Anna by everyone except their father

PuppyMonkey · 16/01/2009 10:46

Surely it could be shortened to Lulu?

mollyroger · 16/01/2009 10:43

Or Halitosis?

mollyroger · 16/01/2009 10:34

sorry, Halle

mollyroger · 16/01/2009 10:33

Halibut has a nice ring to it.

Helle for short. Or Butt....

piratecat · 16/01/2009 10:21
