sounds nice together - amelia is a favourite - it makes me think your little girl will be intrepid!

silverfairy · 16/01/2009 17:58

Amelia very popular still o.k.
Grace a bit popular and nothingy in the middle name slot. I'd rather have no middle name at all than use May, Grace or Rose as a middle name.

LynetteScavo · 16/01/2009 17:35

mum2B09 - Amelia is very popular around here. If Id' know it was going to be so popular I would have probably chosen something else.

kerala · 16/01/2009 17:20

They are great if you dont mind the popularity thing. Grace more than Amelia though. Every other girl around here is called Grace. Personally think Grace is a bold choice as there is always the risk that the child isnt umm graceful and people may snigger. But thats just me - lovely names.

LoveMyLapTop · 16/01/2009 17:17

gorgeous names and Amelia is not that common at all, only know one!

mum2b09 · 16/01/2009 17:16

Whitenose, you couldn't have given your DD a lovlier name.

LynetteScavo · 16/01/2009 17:08

Erm....it's the loveliest name ever. But then I'm biased.

Hayao · 16/01/2009 17:02

It's very very pretty.

whitenoise · 16/01/2009 16:57

I don't want to read the thread but this is the name we gave our child we m/c Amelia Grace (Millie)

moshie · 16/01/2009 16:55

Lovely names but there are three Amelias in my music group, out of twenty children. Actually half of them are boys, so out of ten really.

mum2b09 · 16/01/2009 16:50

i dont realy mind it being quite popular 2bh, i think it really depends on where your from as i havent heard of many amelia graces being born around here lol. i dont really agree that grace is a default name i chose it because its a beautiful name and my partner wasnt a huge fan so we used it as a middle name i like how amelias shortened to milly or mil aswel :D xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Amelia has been around for centuries - I really don't think it's going to date too much!

lilolilmanchester · 16/01/2009 16:49

Love them both and they go well together. I only know one Amelia round here.

mrsseanbean · 16/01/2009 16:48

Two very pretty names.

sonniebonnie · 16/01/2009 16:43

Would have to agree - lovely names but very, very popular! I would be wary of names that become very popular quite quickly as they may sound more 'dated' than others in 5-10 years.

smellybulldog · 16/01/2009 15:45

Agree with everyone else, pretty but popular. I also agree Grace and Rose and default middle names.

Mum2b09, Amelia was 10th most popular name last year and Grace was number 1.

Very pretty.

Songbird · 16/01/2009 12:01

Lovely, hope it goes with your surname

lastboxoftampons · 16/01/2009 12:00

Gorgeous!

poppydaisy · 16/01/2009 11:21

Beautiful name, but WAY too popular imo. Not only will there be loads in her school, but such names could well 'date' and, in 20 years' time, be regarded as very '2000s' (like Sharon and Tracy now feel very '1970s').

There are so many other beautiful girls names out there .

ByThePowerOfGreyskull · 16/01/2009 09:29

beautiful - may be predictable on a thread where you see lots of names discussed but in RL it will just remain as a beautufl name.

LightShinesInTheDarkness · 16/01/2009 09:28

Its beautiful!

mumoverseas · 16/01/2009 09:16

I think its a beautiful name. My DD aged 2 is called Grace and we still love it even though it appears to be becoming a little more popular.
