Nay.

Went to school with a bloke who's nickname has always been Boo. Bit of a reprobate.

Saw him last summer, walking around with his top off and Boo King was tattooed on his belly. It just looked like Booking. I pmsl.

In short, no, but only coz it reminds me of this wally.

No ElfOnTheTopShelf I'm in Aberdeen

fruitbeard · 02/02/2009 20:15

Well, I like it in the abstract - I love the singer/songwriter Boo Hewerdine, but I always assumed that Boo was his nickname and not his real name.

I really wouldn't...

ilovesprouts · 02/02/2009 19:43

no dont do it

Mum1369 · 29/01/2009 15:40

We call our little one Boo - but his name is actually Ben. I really love it actually, but not sure I would have saddled him with any unusual names. Too risky - they may hate it.

mrsfossil · 29/01/2009 15:33

Please no no no your child will think you didn't like him

ciara07 · 28/01/2009 22:44

You would have social services at the door.
BOO is the wee blue puppet in cbebbies everyone would be singing the theme tune to him "boo boo boo in the middle, boo boo boo its a giggle, boo boo you should have seen his face boo boo boo all over the place" - i know i need to get out more!!

ElfOnTheTopShelf · 18/01/2009 10:36

I'm in Nottingham.
Do I know you
DD's first name is Evelyn.

deste · 15/01/2009 21:11

Where do you live ElfOnTheTopShelf I know a little girl with Boo as the middle name.

ElfOnTheTopShelf · 15/01/2009 19:14

I do have a Boo of my own
Its DD's middle name.

LiffeyKidman · 15/01/2009 16:53

For the LARF, call him Beauregarde and bo for short.

Bubbaluv · 15/01/2009 15:57

DelightedOldBag - Boo Weekly's name is Thomas. His nickname comes from Yogi Bear's sidekick Boo Boo.

Elf, do you by chance have a Boo of your own?

chandellina · 14/01/2009 22:58

I had a sweet little cat named Boo.

Have to agree with it being an ok nickname but not ideal for the birth certificate.

toadstool · 14/01/2009 22:14

'Your name please/'
'Boo Smith.
'Boo Who?'

Nuff said.

delightedoldbag34 · 14/01/2009 21:13

Er, have you been watching the golf then?
Boo Weekly (if that is his real name) is American.

ElfOnTheTopShelf · 14/01/2009 19:51

oi nothing wrong with Boo

not too sure for boys name though

MerryMarigold · 14/01/2009 19:50

Boswell, Bernard, Benedict could be Boo

Divineintervention · 14/01/2009 19:47

Find something that you can shorten to make Boo, I would think it's too girly anyway. sorry

MerryMarigold · 14/01/2009 19:45

as squeaver said 'hooray for a girl'. i seriously thought the OP was upset at having a boy!! till i read the thread. but no no no. dh has a 70yr old uncle darling, but it is a nickname and not on his credit card or passport!

Bubbaluv · 14/01/2009 19:22

Just checked, Boo Radley's "real" name was Arthur.
