I have an aversion to cute name and most of the granny chic names!

Have been looking for ages for a grown up name which has a regal quality but is unusual which rules out Victoria, Elizabeth etc.

So suddenly found the name Berenice, think it might be perfect but would love feedback as worried I might be horribly wrong!

a bit too granny chic for my liking but am all for each to their own

reminds me of the Berniece in Emmerdale I think thats what she was called anyway!

I've heard of Bernice not Berenice, the girl I knew was called nicky though.

Is that pronounced Ber-neece or Beren-eece?
Ber-neece - like it, Beren-eece - no.

listenglisten · 12/01/2009 21:14

Love it!
It would be on my list of names and think it's gorgeous shortened to Necie as well.

LaDiDaDi · 12/01/2009 21:13

Don't like it. Sorry.
