Hubbie and I are locked in debate. He LOVES the name Louis, I like it but am not 'in love' with that name. We both kind of like Eddie, and I am beginning to really like Arthur.
what do you think Mners? please help!
he would be --- Lake, little brother to Amelie.

xx

I like Louis but not sure it goes too well with your surname. I don't like Arthur at all tbh, sorry. Eddie I dislike but I love edward.

How about: Edward Arthur Lake - a lovely strong boy's name imho.

Sesi · 12/01/2009 21:49

Louis is lovely and cool at the same time, but Louis Lake

Eddie is ok, but only if short for the fabulous Edmund.

Arthur - loads of people say Arfur, which ruins it a bit imo.

Thomcat · 12/01/2009 21:48

Think I like Louis the best but not keen on it with the surnam.
So with surname in mind my choice would be Eddie.

changer22 · 12/01/2009 21:45

Not keen on Louis Lake

Not keen on Amelie and Arthur

Like Edward Lake. Try Edward for a bit. We had the class phone list home the other day (with parents names on it) and a dad is called Edward. Looked so good.

dinkymum · 12/01/2009 21:42

I really like Arthur but it was my dads name so i'm biased. Louis great too but maybe not with Lake, Edward really nice but would sooner have Ted/ Teddie to Eddie personaly its hard!

JohnnyTwoHats · 12/01/2009 20:03

Louis.

maretta · 12/01/2009 20:00

Arthur best, then eddie

Bubbaluv · 12/01/2009 19:58

Love Louis, but def not with Lake.
Edward Lake sounds great though as does Teddy Lake or Eddie Lake- go the full name though as it is so much more dignified.
Arthur Lake sounds like a retirement village.

dizzydixies · 12/01/2009 19:52

Arthur nn Art is fabulous

Tinker · 12/01/2009 19:51

Louis Louis Louis Love it!

But not with Lake

Eddie Lake sounds like a sports commentator

pointydog · 12/01/2009 19:49

Eddie is ace

YouLukaBeautiful · 12/01/2009 19:34

Eddie Eddie Eddie!
I love the name & wanted to use it if we were having a boy (which we're not)
Loads you can do with Edward - Ed, Ted, Teddy, Eddie etc.
I like Louis too but can't use it myself as it was the name of one of my ex boyfriends. It doesn't go too well with Lake either.
Not as keen on Arthur but it's a perfectly acceptable name x

slayerette · 12/01/2009 17:57

I have a kitten called Arthur...

chancelloroftheexCHEQUERS · 12/01/2009 17:56

Teddy.

bluebump · 12/01/2009 17:55

I love Eddie

Nancy66 · 12/01/2009 17:54

Louis doesn't sound right with Lake - Eddie and Arthur do though. Arthur woul be my favourite.

Tommy · 12/01/2009 16:15

I like Louis best out of them but think that Amelie and Louis is a bit of a mouthful TBH

SoLongMarianne · 12/01/2009 16:15

Louis Lake is a bit too L dominated, mayhap?
Arthur Lake is lovely

CrushWithEyeliner · 12/01/2009 16:12

I love Louis but with Lake is not good at all.

Arthur is nice

LightShinesInTheDarkness · 12/01/2009 16:05

I agree that Loo-ee Lake is not great. Is Lewis an option?

thumbwitch · 12/01/2009 16:00

Loo Lake - not happy with that!
Eddie or Arthur better.

colette · 12/01/2009 15:58

Louis definitely
