Hubbie and I are locked in debate. He LOVES the name Louis, I like it but am not 'in love' with that name. We both kind of like Eddie, and I am beginning to really like Arthur.
what do you think Mners? please help!
he would be --- Lake, little brother to Amelie.

xx

i like Arthur best

Neeerly3 · 14/01/2009 19:40

mieow, u will know when u see him......my arfa was 12 weeks early and we named him even before he was off the ventilator, I was worried we had gone too old fashioned and it wouldn't suit him. A week later he came off the ventilator and he couldn't have been anything other than Arthur.....if u look in my profile u will see some pics, he is a real Arthur (Arfa).

ahh, thanks everyone. we are still confused though, but really I do LOVE Arthur! the debate roles on, we have 16 more weeks to argue!

Like Louis (although not too sure with your surname)
prefer Edward to Eddie.

Don't like Arthur.

sophiesmummie · 13/01/2009 15:56

Definately Louis Lake - sounds cool!!

Not keen on Arthur Lake at all.

Edward Lake is ok.

Rindercella · 13/01/2009 15:18

Louis, Louis, Louis. What a fab name!!!

pagwatch · 13/01/2009 15:15

I have a Louis so would always say that one BUT I think it sounds awful with Lake ( sorry)

Eddie Lake is v.cool

Arthur is nice but not in front of a name that is also a noun

kidcreoleandthecoconuts · 13/01/2009 15:12

Louis

Neeerly3 · 13/01/2009 15:10

our Arthur is 'Arfa Teaspoon'......

bubblebell1 · 13/01/2009 14:57

i love arthur but ds pointed out that cruel kids would call him half a brain... so def louie/lewis/louis. eddie is cool but so many of them now.

Neeerly3 · 13/01/2009 12:43

I have an edward and an arthur, who we call Eddie and Arfie (or Arfa, don't think anyone pronounces the TH!) - not fond of Louis....mainly cos of our surname, Louis Langley is too much.

BonsoirAnna · 13/01/2009 12:39

Louis Lake doesn't sound good at all.

Edward Lake sounds good, as does Arthur Lake.

sophiesmummie · 13/01/2009 12:32

Louis or Lewis is lovely

daisy5 · 13/01/2009 10:37

Louis is lovely
Eddie kinda American
Arthur - flat sounding

traceybath · 13/01/2009 10:32

I have an arthur and love the name.

Also nobody calls him arfur!

CatchaStar · 13/01/2009 10:23

Love Arthur! You could shorten it to Arty.

Also really like Louis, but not keen at all on Eddie.

moonincancer · 13/01/2009 10:21

i love Arthur, Art or Arty

SoLongMarianne · 13/01/2009 08:55

kwym, janeite! Isn't there a Ricki Lake talkshow host?

atowncalledalice · 12/01/2009 22:16

I have an Arthur! I think it's a lovely name Louis and Eddie (would you put Edward/Edmund on the BC?) are both nice too, though.

janeite · 12/01/2009 22:13

Eddie Lake sounds like an American talkshow host, although I have no idea why I think this.

loler · 12/01/2009 22:10

arfur lake - half a lake?

Louis Lake - doesn't work for me

Eddie Lake sounds very Rock! By far the best option!

jellybeans · 12/01/2009 21:59

Eddie, on it's own.

MrsSeanBean · 12/01/2009 21:58

Louis is simply beautiful IMO.

random · 12/01/2009 21:56

Louis

janeite · 12/01/2009 21:54

Edmund is indeed fabulous.
