Hi everyone
I am really in need of some help to choose a name for my 1st baby (we don't know the sex)

Either Amelia or Harriet for a girl (I also like Mia but may use that as a nn for Amelia)

Harry or Aron for a boy

Any help would really be appreciated! x

I like both your girl choices but Amelia probably has the edge.

Harry for a boy - don't like Aron at all.

nappyaddict · 13/04/2009 13:18

Harriet and Aaron. I also like the spelling Arran.

cece · 11/04/2009 15:57

I prefer Harriet out of your girl's names.

Out of the two boys names I prefer Harry as I have never seen Aron spelt like that, so would be unsure how to say it. Plus I think you will be constantly spelling it out to people. However, there are a lot of Harrys around here - so not one I would use as it is too popular iyswim.

Amelia and Harry

jellybeans · 18/01/2009 14:08

Mia and Harry

nappyaddict · 17/01/2009 19:16

Harriet and Aaron imo.

LiffeyMummyPig · 09/01/2009 14:43

Amelia and Harry.

Harry is nice for a boy, not a fan of Harriet though. And Arran can be confused with Erin, Aaron etc..

silverfairy · 09/01/2009 14:37

Amelia or Harry

shangelcharlie · 09/01/2009 10:10

They're all beyond boring if you want the truth.
Harry is a nickname and Aron is mispelt, looks like A ron.

HSMM · 09/01/2009 10:03

Harriet and Harry

Hailsk · 09/01/2009 09:51

Maybe if it was spelt Aaron? then I suppose people would pronounce it AIR on? which isn't really what I want
or Arron may look better

Aron doesn't look right, so Harry for a boy ( although i much prefer Harrison)

and Amelia out of girls choices

Hailsk · 09/01/2009 09:15

Bodiddly - not sure of the origins of Aron actually, although I prefer the spelling to Aaron, and the way it sounds, thought it was a bit different...thanks for the suggestions. I love Harry but as you said, DH's worried there are so many!

Harry and Mia for me

delightedoldbag34 · 08/01/2009 20:06

Harriet and Harry.
Mia and Amelia are very popular, Harriet is a bit more unusual. (3 Mia's in DD's year of 45 at school, no Harriets at all!)
However not keen on Aron, have always loved Harry as a name (even though it is supposed to be popular, I only know of one).
Good luck.

MarchNowFebMum · 08/01/2009 19:47

Mia is best but too common now, Amelia lovely and I prefer Aron over Harry

thirtysomething · 08/01/2009 19:46

Harriet and Aaron

PoloPlayingMummy · 08/01/2009 19:44

Harriet is lovely but shortened to Hattie not Harry

francagoestohollywood · 08/01/2009 19:31

I used to like Amelia, but I'm now a bit tired of it.

Harriet and Harry for me then

bodiddly · 08/01/2009 19:27

another vote for Amelia and Harry

WinkyWinkola · 08/01/2009 19:26

Harriet is great. A really classy, strong sounding name.

Harry - there's so many of those around but that may not be of an issue to you.

Aron is unusual and I like it. What's it's origins?

piscesmoon · 08/01/2009 19:23

I don't even think of royalty with Harry! If he was a baby prince it could be said to be copying, but not now. It is like saying that calling a baby Elizabeth is copying royalty.

Doha · 08/01/2009 19:21

Much prefer Aron Harry sounds too stuck up. Copying royalty

nowwearefour · 08/01/2009 19:17

Amelia and Harry from me too

Hailsk · 08/01/2009 19:14

Thanks Pisces Moon x
