would it be very mean to give a child the initials ARS?

is it too close to arse? Would they be teased at school?
I love the name Amon, DH is insisting his R name is the middle name and our surname begins with S.
I'm not so keen on spelling it Eamon, as it reminds me too much of that fella off the morning telly. Although we will shortly be moving to NZ, where no-one will know who he is, so I should probably get over that!
Anyway, thoughts on ARS please!

Not great - at my company people are known by their initials for EVERYTHING people even talk about each other using initials rather than names.

Why not Eamonn, which is gaelic for Edward and imo is a heck of a lot nicer than Amon. Which is probably a real name, I beg your pardon, but it looks like a cross between Amos and Eamonn anyway.

Tbh, ARS is a bad combo. You'd be bad to just blithely go ahead with that one. Ask a 13 yr old boy if he finds it funny.

Use an additional middle name

DD3 would have been BAR had DP got his way but we stuck in another middle name (the one I liked to give her BAGR instead)

Don't do it - really. They will be teased throughout their lives.
Use 'E' instead - it's only a letter and it sounds the same.
