Is Vera unusable?

I've even changed my name to ask this just in case
I think it's pretty, with the up and coming popularity of the V names like Vivienne, Verity etc
Toyed with the idea of Elvira but it sounds a bit like a beauty product and in any case I'd be using Vera as the short version.
So what do you think?

Vera Brittain.

I wouldn't use it, but I much prefer it to the other Vs suggested here. And to Elvira too.

I don't like it, sorry.
Violet, Verity, Vivienne are all very pretty though. Not Valerie because of The Zutons (which I love) and Amy Winehouse.

Well, it's a bit harsh. i don't like Dora either.

Vivien, Violet, Valerie all lovely though.

Vera Duckworth

Vera Drake

Just not my cup of tea, sorry, and the connotations are too strong

Personally I don't like it. I just can't imagine it 'fitting' a little baby girl..

My aunties name also, and 'Duckworth' always rings in the back of my head when I hear it sorry!

It's lovely! You're ahead of the rest. I bet there'll be loads of Veras in a few years' time. Beat the rush!

I like it. It's my Nan's name
