Ellynor?

We are contemplating the name Ellynor - spelt as it sounds, for our next dc, we want to be unusual and know that Eleanor is the usual spelling but are quite keen of going slightly off centre.

Honest thoughts please - but do be gentle

But it is spelt as it sounds, so surely it will help with the spelling?

No, no and no. It makes me think of Nelly the Elephant. Eleanor is a lovely name - and if it's not broken, don't try to fix it.

If you like unusual, then pick an unusual name and spell it correctly.

the pronunciation is different so they are two separate names.

I'm not too keen on alternative spellings, tbh. I'm a v boring woman though!
