Opinions please? Would you assume boy or girl? Just one of the names I have floating about that i'm not too sure on..

The Heroes thing shouldn't put you off. The Cheerleader is gorgeous and kicks arse . plus who will remember it when she is grown up? if you were thinking about Sylar I might advise differently

SheWillBeLoved · 30/12/2008 12:29

Mumofbaby - I suppose so. Tbh the Heroes thing wouldn't stop me from using that name - i'm just one of those people who links names to anything I think of when I hear it and then assume people will always do the same and think of what I think of

And you love it...? Not quite getting that from your posts in all honesty.

love it :O

MumofBaby · 30/12/2008 12:25

SheWillBeLoved- it's a possibility, but in all honesty, I don't think Heroes will be around that much longer- I think it might be a fad. So when it's forgotten, it won't be an issue to the child.

But then I do love it for a boy.

Are you getting that I LOVE IT?

NorthernLurker · 30/12/2008 12:25

for a boy I think I would expect to spell it 'Haydn'

SheWillBeLoved · 30/12/2008 12:22

Yay mumofbaby

It's on my boys names list, I did consider calling a girl it.. but I think then too many people would link her to Heroes, expect her to be blonde, and have the ability to grow new feet

One of the most loathesome nasty boy bullies I have ever come across is called Hayden.(Regularly has my DD in tears) So rather biased against this one!

MumofBaby · 30/12/2008 12:16

Absolutely love it. You should totally go with it. I love it for a girl or a boy. I think people would generally assume boy, but that's not really a problem if you like it for a girl.

It's more difficult the other way round. Obviously, if you were to call a boy Sally, it doesn't work.

I would call a boy or girl Hayden- it's on my short list.

love it love* it love it
!

SheWillBeLoved · 30/12/2008 12:11

Argh MrsMattie, I actually typed "please, no references to the Heroes girl" in my first post and then deleted it

I know it's not everyones cup of tea.. but i'm really not into the 'old person' style names that seem to be all the rage at the moment., so i'm just trying to find a name that's different but not old.

Always thought it was a boy's name. I actually went to school with two boys called Haydenback in the '80s.

The girl in 'Heroes' is called Hayden, though, so may be thought of as a girl's name in the US?

Rindercella · 30/12/2008 12:07

Would assume a boy. Sorry, don't like it at all.
