I am currently 29 weeks pg with our second child and we are expecting a boy . Of which are very few and far between in both our families so we are absolutley over the moon.

Our daughter is Georgia-Mae and will be 5 in 3 weeks time, indeed she is incredibly excited.

When pg with Georgie we really struggled with names for boys. Dp really liked Gabriel - i was not keen at all. I absolutley adore Harry - but he will not tolerate the name (family mambers with said name)

As soon as i fell pg this time around we both said we still liked an unusual name that we liked when pg last time around

Rossi

and bump to be will be Rossi James (James as a middle name)

We've had very mixed reactions - i can personally imagine a 3 year old, 10 year old, 30 year old, 50 year old and so on with this name.

Just thought i'd put it out for a test run here.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I think it would just get shortened to Ross by everyone but you.

LurkerOfTheUniverse · 27/12/2008 15:55

I can imagine a rossi at 50... ponytail, jeans, white trainers....yep, definately works

georgimama · 27/12/2008 15:54

Not keen, sorry. I really cannot imagine a 30 or 50 year old with that name.

I read in one baby book you need a name that will be OK whether your son ends up as a dustman or as Governor of the Bank of England.

I like James though.

LurkerOfTheUniverse · 27/12/2008 15:51

what about francis rossi?

compo · 27/12/2008 15:45

Honestly?

It sounds like a babyish way of saying 'Ross', as in Rossy....

sorry
