I like Scottish or Gaelic names. Our children have Scottish and Gaelic names. BUT, people in England may find such names difficult to bear because of pronounciation problems.

If DS had been a girl, we'd have called her Muireann.

Wolfblass · 27/12/2008 21:40

India
Sascha
Ruby
Xanthe or Xanthia

DD is Georgia Mae

My favourite girl's name is Anna.

Favourite boy's name: Guy

bluebump · 20/12/2008 11:58

Lockets I was tempted to hold out for a Thea but thought even if I had another it would probably be a boy too so i'd never use it! Cassius is lovely too!

ninedragons · 20/12/2008 03:09

of your friend, Lockets. DD had thick black spiky hair when she was born, and I thought she looked just like a little bear. Now she's got fluffy curly hair so it's a little less appropriate, but I'm still a bit sore about it.

Elin
Elijah
Am pregnant with a boy and DH hates ELijah. In fact we're so distant in our name choices its unbelievable.
Annoyingly DH likes Elin

I'm still a bit peeved that DH vetoed Ursula.

Mind you, we live in Australia so it would inevitably have been shortened to Ursh or something dreadful.

PlonkerTeatowelOnTheirHeads · 19/12/2008 22:44

"I guess one of your dd's is called Elizabeth!"

Erm, surprisingly, no! Dh doesn't like it

I did, however, manage to persuade him to let me use it for dd2's middle name and am secretly hoping she decides to use it instead of her first name

Thea and Theo

  • I come from a greek background and they mean Aunt and Uncle or God depending on where you put the emphasis on it sooo as much as they are very nice i couldn't really do it to any future children. It sounds very odd if you understand what i mean?

I like Rowan for a girl atm.
