Can i have your thoughts on this please as i'd really like to put it on our short list but DH thinks it's too old for a baby name.
OUR other contenders are:
Lucy, Ruby, Niamh & Scarlett
Thanks

Ex left me for a 17 yo called Klara.

So no, its not at all 'old womanny'

[bitter]

disclaimer - I do actually quite like the name, and it is unusual without being ridiculous

SnowballsintheSky · 15/12/2008 20:54

LOL I always think of Heidi's friend as well! I like it.

LiffeyCanSpellGeansaiNollaig · 15/12/2008 20:52

I know a Polish Klara in Ireland. THe way she says her name, it MURDERS it!! Instead of soft, just Clah-rah, she says it KLAGH-RRRAGH!

It kills it. Sorry to offend any Polish people. I'm sure it sounds normal to a Polish person!

I love, love, love the name Clara.

It's beautiful, classy, feminine, unusual but not 'trendy'.

Like it best of the names on your list.

I think Clara is a beautiful name, and far less common than Ruby.

It was on my list, along with Claudia, Imogen and Elizabeth!
