Probably as a middle name.

colacubes · 06/12/2008 22:06

probably not a good idea,

MrsMattie · 06/12/2008 21:53

Oh for Christ's sake - NO

Cocodrillo · 06/12/2008 21:11

We're thinking Fergus for the first name if its a boy.

I'm not brave enough to give Humphrey as a first name...

Not had any books for ages, Dinny, so none to post on, but I think Luna's the real hoarder on our thread !

Cool - I like a proper middle name like that.

Makes me think of Yes Minister. I've only ever met one Humphrey, and it seemed to suit him (but he was a retired banker when i was a little girl). Middle name no problem.

I love it; I had a lovely childhood friend by the name of Humphrey. I remember the Humphreys. They had red and white striped straws to steal your milk.

hello still haven't posted books, have you? eek

I like Humphrey - what first name?

my friend just had a Herbert (known as Herbie)

I am old enough to remember an advertising campaign with the slogan: Watch out watch out there's a Humphrey about (Humphreys were invisible or mysterious entities that were addicted to milk and would thieve your drink of milk if you didn't Watch Out).
So I'd vote No on this one.
