I know there have been threads about this, but I can't find any for some reason.
At the moment I'm stuck on Stanley, but DH gone off it a bit because my bro was taking the piss about Flat Stanley.
Any ideas would be very gratefully received.

jack, George are my Grand. Great Uncles Archie, Leneard, Ernie, Walt, Alfred. What about Albert. I love Stan by the way and would have chosen it but our surnames start with St and it sounded all wrong!

Re: Stanley. I know a Stanley who is 8 now.

When I first met him at DD's nursery I was quite as it just didn't seem like a baby/little boys name. However it soon grew on me and I now think its rather cool and suits him (hes known as Stan)

purpleduck · 07/12/2008 11:46

Oswald (Ossie/Ozzie)
Peter

LynetteScavo · 07/12/2008 11:41

Minky...let your brother get his flat stanley comments out of the way know.

stanley is a fine name. The only Stanley I know is 5, and gets called Stan the man. I think you should go for it.

ghosty · 07/12/2008 11:22

My Grandfathers were William and Frederick. DH's grandfather's were Frank and Peter.
Teddy or Ted is a good 'old fashioned' name too - could be the shortened version of either Edward or Theodore.
