Addison?

I'm expecting a baby girl due in jan and one of the names we love is Addison, but dp thinks it might be too unusual. What do you think?

I like it, but if you live in London there is a very well known taxi company called Addison Lee and for that reason I would steer clear. especially if your surname is lee

I knew Jane Austen died young but I didn't know she died of Addison's disease. Well there you go. I've learnt something tinkering about on mn today.

Addison's disease - where the adrenal glands aren't working properly-I certainly wouldn't want to give the name to my baby!

Would immediately think of Addison's disease.

I really think the surname as first name thing is going to date (is already dating) fast.

It was somebody's name! The surname of the person who first identified the disease now called Addison's disease!

I think of the disease. It's bonkers that there's a grown up female Addison on Grey's Anatomy.

First Madison was very popular in USA, and then when that got a bit tired, people started choosing Addison 'to be different' . Oldest Madisons are probably about 23, oldest Addisons are probaby about 13.
