...brothers Thomas and George, also have a strong boys name as a surname that begins with O, so we have to be careful with initials.

I am looking for something different to Max and Jack, but as nice as them, maybe a little bit wacky but not too much, and deffo not poncey (I am a Southerner in the North West, I have to be careful with my accent) We have been through countless name books/websites and not hit on the one yet, so it's over to you lot!

To give an idea, my favourites are Seth, Seb(astian), Albert (Albie), DH likes Charlie and Harrison, neither of us like each others (Well to be fair, I love Harrison, but I don't like 'Arrison, which is what it becomes up here!)

my son is seth...we get a lot of emmerdale, jokes, my nan even calls him armstrong!!! but that will soon be erased from peoples memories...i hope!! its a very good name: it cant be shortened, which is a bug bear of mine and its nice and short and easy to spell (so my ds will be writing his own name on his pictures in nursery!!) the only problem we get is people who cant pronounce 'th' properly so we get seff sometimes but that is very rare!

With a Thomas and a George, I'd go with Matthew, Lawrence, James (appreciate this is not an option!) Nicholas or Robert. I totally hear ya re: the ponciness aspect although, if I may be brutally honest, I think Albert is quite possibly the ponciest of the lot. I'd be wanting to go with something fairly traditional with a Thomas and a George (both gorgeous names, by the way). Somehow a Thomas, George and insert wacky name here just wouldn't work.

Charlie Oliver sounds very nice I think.

Sounds to me like you should wait till after the baby is born, then your dh will be so overcome with emotion about the wonderful thing you have just done he should go along with any of your choices!

Hope you get better soon - you poor thing.

anonandlikeit · 07/12/2008 21:03

So sorry you are feeling ill, hope your are feeling better soon.
So whats the name??

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 07/12/2008 20:43

no, afraid not i'm poorly with some sort of infection, have been on iv ab's since friday they've made no difference, they are waiting for blood cultures to come back to see exactly what the infection is, but they are fairly certain it's nothing to do with baby, but the effects of it are effecting him, my high temp, fast pulse, etc. so i have to stay here till they know what's going on.

t'is ds2's 2nd birthday today so have spent most of the day whimpering to myself

My boys are Cameron James and Dominic Piers and their names suit them perfectly (I'm a very very proud Mum )

frazzledoldbag34 · 07/12/2008 20:08

Cal is also a character in the wonderful 'The Riches' (with Eddie Izzard and Minnie Driver). If you've never seen it look out for the repeats on Virgin / Virgin 1. Faaabulous.
Cal is their son. Pretty cool character.
