Yeah, so, 20 weeks scan today, and it's a dudette.
We had Astrid picked out from last time (but had a boy), and were so keen, it wasn't up for debate this time.
The only thing we had to decide was a middle name, and we're keen on Ursula. Double-barrelled surname, 1st half scando, 2nd half welsh.
Opinions if you please. Many thanks.

LOVE Astrid. But don't think good with Ursula, sorry.

Astrid is very Baader-Meinhoff chic

Nobody ever uses the middle name though, or says all the names together so use what you like. They are both pretty names, but I think it's lovely to use a family name or a godparents name as a middle name. Children really LOVE their names to have a story when the get older IME, and it's so sweet to say that they got their name from their grandmother or a dashing aunt.

Tinker · 26/11/2008 23:37

Love both.

minouminou · 26/11/2008 23:37

Ursula will only be wheeled out for formal use - every day it'll just be Astrid

dizzydixies · 26/11/2008 23:36

I love them both but not sure if I'd use them together iyswim, esp with a double barrelled surname

worzella · 26/11/2008 23:36

Astrid is good though!

worzella · 26/11/2008 23:35

Sorry - it's hard to pronounce! It all runs into one!
