We are looking for a name for our first DC who is definitely a boy. I am loving Rupert but DH is not so sure.

Sounds a bit nerdy to me, sorry.

I rather like it, though I'm not sure that I'd use it.

And what's wrong with 'posh' names anyway?

moondog · 25/11/2008 16:50

wet

MarmadukeScarlet · 25/11/2008 16:48

I love it.

I am assuming you are posh to even consider it? I have a boy with a posh name too, but my DH wouldn't allow Rupert,

It reminds me of floppy haired boys that used to sneak over the convent wall when I was at school .

LuLuBai · 25/11/2008 16:44

I really love it!

I am not keen sorry.

I knnew of an adult called Rupert. he was a teacher. After qualifying and going through teaching practise he decided to change his professional name to Simon (IIRR) as he got far too much abuse being called Rupert.

Kathyis6incheshigh · 25/11/2008 16:36

too, too posh.

grouchyoscar · 25/11/2008 16:35

Rupert is great

It's the jockey Ruby Walsh's real first name

Go for it

piratecat · 25/11/2008 16:35

not keen tbh

Fimbo · 25/11/2008 16:34

There is one in ds's year. It kind of suits him but he is commonly known as Rupes. It is also the name of dd's friend's dad.

EachPeachPearMum · 25/11/2008 16:33
