Honest opinions on Dexter

I have a girls name list of about 20 but have really struggled with boys names.

I found Dexter in a baby name book and think I love it! Full middle name would be James.

DH thinks he likes it but is not sure. Its quite different and other names we are considering are much more popular - Harry etc.

Honestly what do you think of Dexter James?

I hear the name Dexter and I think Sociopath!

It also seems a bit of a chav name around here so an all round no from me.

I liked it but DH said it sounded too American and that put me off. The Serial killer thing would have put me off too, if i'd known it then!

There was a character in Dynasty called Dex Dexter, but I don't suppose there's many saddos that remember that like me

It's ok imo

I did quite fancy the actor Dexter Fletcher when he was in Press Gang circa 1986, but then I saw him in the flesh a couple of years ago and the magic had gone - yet again not that relevent!

I love it, and would have had it on the list for DS but it sounds a bit Marvel Comics when combined with our surname.

Dexter William is my fictional ds3s name. fabby. I like Dex/y for short too.
