Dh and I are currently thinking of names that we like (I'm not pregnant though!), which do you prefer:

Sasha
Serena
Zoe
Zara

I like them all, I just have to get pregnant now to use one of them! I thought Alexa was of Greek origin and meant defender, not Russian.

Sasha is of Russian origin. It's a short form of Alexander and means "man's defender" (Greek). Not very feminine imo .

I really like Zara on your list.

Sasha is a boys name for me too - short for Alexander.

Agree with Belgo

belgo · 18/11/2008 16:41

Alexa and Zara would go very well together.

Really? Dd is Alexa, so they would have the same name, in effect??

Isn't it funny the way you associate names with people. Dh doesn't like Zoe either.
