DH and I are having a nightmare - we are rubbish at deciding on a name as we are both very fussy. Please make suggestions for boys names - I don't want anything common (i.e he will be one of 3 in his class)

I will apologise in advance for dismissing most of them, we've already had a gazillion suggestions but I am hoping one of you can hit the jackpot! There is a photo of him in my profile if that helps.

Thanks

ButterflyBessie · 13/11/2008 18:21

Well I suppose it is ok, but are you sure you don't want to call him Zebedee?

MarkStretch · 13/11/2008 18:08

I like it. Welcome Mack.

Annthecat · 13/11/2008 17:58

I like Mack too!!

Glad you have decided.

sweetkitty · 13/11/2008 17:50

Mack - like it short and punchy

ChocOrange05 · 13/11/2008 17:49

Mack isn't short for anything - whilst getting everyone's suggestions I decided I quite wanted something that was a short name.

Thanks for saying you like it Queenof DH and I are pleased we have decided on something!!!

Oops, I missed it! Is Mack short for anything? I like it! And you certainly won't have lots of those in his class

QueenofAllWildThings · 13/11/2008 17:41

Jude, Patrick, Edward, Rufus, Sam, Callum, Robert, Theo, William, Stephen...

FairLadyRantALot · 13/11/2008 17:39

go on then....

ChocOrange05 · 13/11/2008 17:31

I think we have a winner........

Annthecat · 13/11/2008 17:14

I think:

Arthur - taditional old fashioned not too popular but not weirdy.

Or

Gregory- Classical, unusaul, cute for a boy dignified for a man.

I have an Edward, we call him Eddie, so I love that too.

chocolategal · 13/11/2008 16:53

hey choco
just thought i'd add, i live in scotland and calling your baby Ned up here would be a big NO NO!!

a relative in australia has a little boy called Ned out there and it is no big deal but there is no way i could get away with that here.
dont know what it would be like down south??

stephla · 13/11/2008 16:51

Cormac is Irish I think.

ChocOrange05 · 13/11/2008 16:36

I quite like Mac but our surname is v scottish (and we're not at all) Anyone know any names that can be shortened to Mac that aren't scottish and not malachi???

thanks!

ps - thanks for all the nice comments on his photo - i agree, he is gorgeous!!
