Celeste... Does it make you think of the contraceptive pill?!!

I'm quite liking Celeste at the mo...I'm 21 wks.

Interested in your opinions please - also what could you shorten it to?

No, not the pill but Barbar's wife as others have said.

My first thought was Daphne & Celeste, and the time they got bottled off the stage at Reading.

I'm sure nobody remembers them though...

Babar more resonant than the pill here too. But depite the elephantine connection Celeste also sounds extremely angelic and pure and good and pristine and nunlike and abstinent from sex, somehow.

Nope - never heard of that type of pill. I think it's a lovely name. Unusual but not weird, feminine but not twee - perfect combination.

Babar's wife never occurred to me neither did Lester!

I think I really like it and I do love Ce ce for short.

I went to school with a Celeste. A really pretty name for a quite all round unfortunate child. I have never heard of a pill called Celeste.

I really like Celeste and am considering it for DC3.
It does remind me of Barbar's wife but I always loved those books so I don't see that as a negative personally.
There is an OCP called Cilest but as someone else said, there is also one called Yasmin!
