i love matilda too was very high up the list for dd.

LurkerOfTheUniverse · 26/10/2008 20:01

i'd say they were quite traditional

i like Matilda the best

janeite · 26/10/2008 20:00

Don't like Susannah but I LOVE all of the others.

Cies · 26/10/2008 20:00

Don't think you're up yourselves at all! Very nice names.

Have to say my personal order of preference, (not that you asked for it ) is Harriet, Susannah, Florence, Esme, Matilda.

Dragonbutter · 26/10/2008 20:00

What are you asking?
Do you want to know what we would think of the parents who would choose these names if we were feeling particularly judgey mcjudgeworth for a moment.
i'd think you were conservative parents who want their daughter do play violin and do ballet.
(but only because you asked, in RL i wouldn't really be bothered) they are pretty names.

MrsMattie · 26/10/2008 20:00

Florence is the only one I really love on your list. The others (actually, all but Susannah) are all fairly common in middle class-ville, London .

Ceolas · 26/10/2008 20:00

Up yourself? Why do you think that?

mummyloveslucy · 26/10/2008 19:59

I like Matilda, Tilly for short.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 26/10/2008 19:59

All of them are lovely

Lubyloo · 26/10/2008 19:59

I love all of them and considered all of them for my DD apart from Susannah.

I'm just wondering whether your shortlist for boys names would be similar to mine!

wessexghoul · 26/10/2008 19:58

I like all of those! Especially love Florence; would nab that myself for a dd3.

scorpio1 · 26/10/2008 19:58

Really lovely, good names IMO

I love Matilda
