It's my bubba's middle name. It's a splendid name.

fabulous

ZZZen · 04/11/2008 23:05

Yes I like it

ruty · 04/11/2008 22:53

love it - but Connie put me off. I did suggest calling dd Constance to dh with the possiblity of shortening it to Stan - didn't go down too well!

edam · 04/11/2008 22:50

I do like Constance (although I'm always a bit wary of those virtue names, feels like asking for trouble - Patience is bound to spend her life telling everyone else to hurry up, Verity to be an awful fibber, Charity to be tight-fisted and Chastity to be up the duff at 15). But Connie is horrible and just reminds me of great-aunts.

Tommy · 04/11/2008 22:48

lovely

EachPeachPearMum · 04/11/2008 22:43

We had Constance on our list this time... but it's going to be a boy We think it's lovely, but we don't like Connie as a nickname.

earlynite · 04/11/2008 22:37

Love Connie and Constance, go for it!

pointydog · 04/11/2008 22:16

yeah, like it. Strong. like connie too

Peaches174 · 04/11/2008 22:04

Constance /connie was my nan's name and she was an amazing woman. We are going to use it as middle name (after either maggie, ingrid or vivienne) if we have a girl in her honour. Go for it!

AbbeyA · 03/11/2008 07:39

I don't like it-also dislike Connie.

oldnewmummy · 03/11/2008 07:26

I'm Constance and hate it. Have spent 43 years informing people it's Connie. Had a partcularly shitty teacher at school who insisted on calling me Constance.

I like Connie though as it's a bit different. Or it WAS until I moved to Singapore where it's like "Tracey", and no-one seems to know why ........

tryingtoleave · 02/11/2008 21:10

That's not bad, VS - thanks.

Bumbleybee · 02/11/2008 12:20

I love the name Constance and its abbreviations, we had it picked out for Ds1 had he been a girl.

VictorianSqualor · 02/11/2008 12:16

tryingtoleave, what about CeCe?

VictorianSqualor · 02/11/2008 12:13

Yes. Like it a lot.
Reminds me of that bird in Holby.

Nancy66 · 02/11/2008 12:12

Great name and goes very well with your other two. I like both Connie and Constance

tryingtoleave · 02/11/2008 11:34

Dh and I are keen on Constance for dd, due in a few weeks, but we don't like Connie or Con. Are there any other possible nicknames?

mumof2andabit · 01/11/2008 15:38

Love it will suggest it to dh for no.3.......

lilibet · 01/11/2008 13:53

Ilove this and have it on my list - dh however really hates it.

I will be very if you get to use it.
